Mourinho would not have been castigated for giving it a good go and finishing within spitting distance of Pep Guardiola’s magnificent men


But it’s not just Saint Pep who is making Mourinho look average.
Defeats at Tottenham and Newcastle have laid bare the fact that players are not improving individually or collectively under Mourinho, a manager who no longer seems to learn from his mistakes.

All I took from that is we are going to be signing some more defenders this summer and another holding midfielder.

You can just about excuse Spurs if it's a one off, but the Newcastle match showed it wasn't. There's an issue NQAT.

But that's an hysterical article. This team won 2 (three) trophies last season and sits second in the league behind THE GREATEST TEAM EVER ASSEMBLED.

To be fair to Chris, that first season he was pretty good and was one of the best defenders that year. Gone backwards since then, however.
