Football Unfairly maligned United players down the years

Seems an apt thread now with big Fell leaving.

This genius should have a statue, but loads of reds just never warmed to him

Sheringham and Tevez still seem to be under appreciated by most, both should have been kept on at least another season.

Smalling gets a hell of a lot of shit considering he's been our best defender for about 5 years, not his fault he has been partnered with utter dross.

The shit Richardson and Cleverly got, particularly at OT never sat well with me. Both came through the academy, both young lads doing their best, by all means think they are shit but booing them is a @#%&!s trick.

I agree, terrific little player. Sadly some of our fans decided beforehand he was simply bought to sell shirts and never deviated from that.

Fergie's love child.

Falls into that category of player who lived off a good 12-18 months or so, but ultimately just wasn't good enough. See also; Park, Nani, Anderson, O'Shea, Giggs etc.

welbeck. his problem was his consistency but he would have good games for us. was a useful player to have around.

Kagawa.

Underused, sold far too early.

Struggled, but was a fall guy. We saw plenty to suggest he should have played more.

His hat trick against Norwich was class.

How many players who arent strikers have bagged hat tricks for us in the last 20 years.
