Great TV, you can tell it is well produced as the city looks an appealing place to live.

I like how it starts with such hope and optimism but within ten mins they've been smashed by Celtic, fans have rioted and Gibson has been filmed calling out his teammates in a pissed up rant...and it just gets worse. Tragic club.

Read that as "appalling", which is actually considerably more accurate tbh.

Is he? They gave him a contract and he held them to it.

Clubs hold players to contracts when they want to leave, why can't it be the other way around?

Coleman came out of that pretty well. I bet he's gutted he went there in the first place.

It's clear the club was poorly run. The chief exec came across as a right miserable @#%&! who thinks he's a lot brighter than he is. That @#%&! was getting paid £1.2m per year to oversee them getting relegated twice in 2 years

Good series
Got pretty intimate, without turning into some kind of PR exercise (although maybe that was the initial intention)

The manager doing a flip chart presentation on the passion the fans expect inspirational stuff. I was cringing more than the players

Been to York a few times, not such a bad place at all IMO.

Grayson in the first episode. Came across as thick as £#%&!, bless him.

Gibson’s accent is going to give me nightmares. What even is he? Like how I’d expect someone from the Isle of Man to talk the weird @#%&!.

Is it just me or does Simon Grayson age ten years with every managerial appointment?

Yup, apparently the production team had been part of a consortium that tried to buy the club. Suspect they wanted to salvage something from the misery of the two seasons and watching that you'd think Sunderland was a decent place to live with a great stadium so won't do them much harm.
