Some in the dressing room have already wondered whether Solskjaer might be a bit too soft, especially “given the egos in here”.

Some are of an age where the Norwegian’s club past will actually not mean that much. Many wanted Michael Carrick in charge.
not really much in it. they supposedly wonder if he'll be too soft, not that they think he's too soft (after barely a day in charge.) which is a valid point to be fair regarding the egos in the dressing room.

and given that they all know carrick very well, he's a hugely respected figure at united, and he's already a member of the staff, i'm not surprised they wanted him.

wouldn't look too much into it.

I'm hearing that this thread is blatantly unsubtle clickbait?

At this moment in time I quite frankly couldn’t give a £#%&! what some united players think/want. They’ve got far too much power for such colossal #@&%!s not worthy of the shirt on their backs.

In other words they wanted their pal Carrick in charge so they could keep taking liberties etc. Solskjaer will be the unknown to them and demand they treat the shirt he wore with respect.

Having an absolute legend and fan favourite also means the pressure is all on the players now, no more excuses of who the manager is etc.

I’d hazard a guess carrick is far softer than solskjaer. They wanted a Mate in charge so they could continue to take the piss.

weird to think at one stage Carrick Fan was winning his internet fame battle with Mark Goldfinch. How times change.
