Default The lost games

Manchester United 3 deports of la Corunna 2 2002

I'm struggling to find highlights for this match.

I remember an amazing goal fro gig gigs and beating skies of Arcadia on the dream cast less than an hour before the match and Think beck ham suffered the famous metatarsal to Nauru as well.

£#%&!ing hell, Skies of Arcadia, what a game

Wes and Fabien

Diego Tristan

Giggs beating about 4 men and chipping the keeper from K stand..

Them were the days.. defeat aside of course.

Wasn't it 2-3 btw...

WAIT..

2-3

Forgot all about the 3-2, was that the home leg after we won 2-0 over there and Giggs went round the keeper and failed to score for 3-0?

Giggs terrified everyone in Europe didn't he

You are thinking of the group stage loss 3 2

I'm thinking of the quarter final win second leg 3 2 so the footage you provide isn't what I want although I haven't watched it.

It seems difficult to find good highlights of the knockout win gigs scored a amazing goal.

I'm looking specifically for the highlights of the second leg quarter final 2002 and not the group stage affairs.

The seems very rare considering matches played much earlier are well played.

Of the video shown the defending is bad.

A lack of size, aggression and tracking of opponents running off the ball.

We reached 3 finals with a great Ferdinand vidic parter ship but lost 2 to a devastating attacking team that wasn't around in the late 90s and early noughties.

From 98 to 2003 if we had had Ferdinand and vidic as the parterniship we would have won 2 or at lest 3 of the champions league seasons during that period.

The freedom that team could play with Ferdinand and vidic at the back.

Giggs running with the ball at pace was something else.

Messi didn't have anywhere close to the pace of gigs and Ronaldo didn't have the close control of gigs running with the ball at his feet.

Giggs was no where near as good a finisher as those two though and it could be a legacy of spending a large part of his career as a winger in a traditional 442 but it's really just because he's not as God a finisher as them.

Ronaldo was superb at shooting first time of either foot.

If we are talking purely about how aesthetic beauty as a player and not just goals and stats then gigs is never overshadowed.

As del piero said: ''There are two players that have made me cry watching football, one is Diego Maradona, the other is Ryan Giggs''.

For accuracy, he said Baggio and Giggs.

I couldn't believe nobody in the studios at the time pointed out how shit he was for 2 of Ronaldos goals and Neuvilles goal in Leverkusen. He was utter shit at times.

Big AMers dropping some incredible facts and opinion here.

Appears to have an encyclopedic knowledge on the early naughties Euro scene too. Poor old Dunk can't keep up.

Potential SOTY 2017?
