Buffon stepped on to a football pitch as a professional for the first time back in 1995.

The 17-year-old was called up for Parma's game against a dominant AC Milan side and put in a performance for the ages in a 0-0 draw.

'I've never seen a debut like his for the personality and quality he showed,' said legendary Italian goalkeeper Dino Zoff after the game. It goes without saying he kept a clean sheet.
