The suspicion is that there is somebody already lined up to take over from Mackay.

Given the owner, that is no guarantee they will be any good of course

pretty sure even if he ends up resigning he'd have a good case for constructive dismissal.

As with most of these cases there will be a compromise agreement - a figure given to the outgoing manager in return for him saying £#%&! all about the details of the dismissal.

Cardiff owner clearly hasn't a clue if he thinks Mackay will resign. Let Cardiff breach the contract!
