Watching back the game and he should be beaten to a pulp for their first. Shocking. Absolutely shocking.

In the summer he was told by the club he’s not wanted but here he is area games into the season starting for us, so it’s no wonder he played like that imo.

It’s on the owners and people above the manager. He should have been gone if not sold then loaned out, but the morons £#%&!ed that up too.

I have a bit more sympathy for him than Slabhead, as I think he would have left for any remotely decent offer.

Wow! Maguire and The Scottish Player.

The two players I wanted gone the most in the summer are the saviors of the game....speechless.

Its the least we could expect from Slabhead, as said just upthread I am much less critical of McTommers - and delighted for him today.

He’s a top red, and clearly was disappointed with the summer and was an absolute joke against Reading and in Munich imo. Delighted for him today though.

Evans with the assist & disallowed goal at Turf Moor; McTommers & Maguire today.

Tribalism doesn't pay. Job of the manager is to get the best out of the players he has. Eric may well thank the old school for having kept him in a job once all is said and done. Those goals are the difference between where we are now and Everton.

Fair play to him. Brilliant cameo. Hope it gives him the confidence he needs to become a player.

Big mongo did ok today too. Good to see.

Delighted for him today - who wouldn't be tbh? His comments after the game too, he obviously loves everything United. It was a cameo though, he's not going to dominate Citys midfield in our next game. Is he....?
no, hes not

Got to admit I groaned internally when I saw he was coming on as I genuinely didn’t think he would add anything.

Delighted he proved me wrong - providing he can have that impact/ effort level when he is subbed on would be happy to Keep him.

Problem is we’ve seen this before where one good performance instantly renders the previous shit games forgotten and the the player reverts to type.

Needs to back it up now but Credit where credits due he got us out of the shit today

Motivation is as important as tactics. He had it today. Probably because he was at the club when that was recognised as a good thing. He needs a word with Sancho and Martial and .. and .. and .. and …
