the whole defence played well (too much for some to acknowledge shaw, obvs). particularly given the lack of cover and the weird expectations. would like a flying wing back option, but it's hardly the biggest concern.

wan b did manage a wild challenge. so did casemiro. and martinez.

I mean... we let a side have the most shots at OT for about 30 years (23 of them) & 6 were on target. Lost 70% of the aerial duels. Managed to have only 1 extra % of posession, the majority of which is the passing out from the back, yet again the likes of AWB getting caught on the edge of our own area when all he needs is one good touch & to lay it forward

It was a shit performance, from front to back - Onana did all that was asked but still should have conceded a penalty so the best we can say is we got away with it. Not that the back four played well. They simply didn't, they weren't punished (the whole side, midfield especially, but the defence were lunging in & there was absolutely minimal attacking support).

We need to wake the group up, and they badly need a proper CM that can start & influence the game from deep asap.

Has he ever switched the play with a cross field ball? Ever dinked a ball behind the opposition fullback for a forward to run onto? No - because he's fundamentally a shit footballer.

An absolute dog turd of a player. Will start worrying about Erik if he keeps playing him.
He crossed the ball into the net to assist in the only goal of the game ....which is why United won.

He also consistently took opponents off the ball and locked down the right hand side of the field to aid in the clean sheet. What more do you want?

I'm not privy to either AWB or Dalot, but it is what we have to work with until at least next summer, so try to look for some positives.

Whilst there probably is some truth in this, out of the current injury list only 3 of them had regular football (varane shaw Antony) last season

Well antony isn't injured is he. He's been cast into football purgatory.

Either way I think wan bissaka played about 30 games last season or something and it's worth noting that all these players tend to play the entire game. There's very few subs being made and we had more games than any other side after the world cup.

Not for the first time in the last few years, we look like the least fit team in the Premier League.

There have been good reasons for that in the previous 3 years, mainly due to unavoidably short pre-seasons, but this year there are no excuses. It's just so enraging.

Tbh there will be some impact after playing 60 games last season. Crazy how Bruno manages to stay fit tbh a testament to his fitness. Maybe it’s Dalots time to shine . Personally I don’t think dalot is good enough to be a first team RB for us but he has a chance now.

Surely a dodgy hamstrung playing is better than Dalot. Run it off

You've got to admire his chutzpah to be honest. £#%&!s off to New York for the weekend with a teammate who's been banished from the squad because of his poor performances in training. 8 hour flight each way.

He can do this because he's never selected for England or whatever African country he's eligible to play for because he's so shit.

Comes on for 5 minutes and gets injured.

That is so Wan Bissaka. I suppose we should be grateful he didn't roll his Urus on the A34 and take out a car load of paediatricians.

Easy to criticise the players, (although several deserve it) but around 60+ games to play last season, thanks to that ridiculous WC. We won a trophy and although dropped off afterwards,, did enough to secure not only 4th but 3rd place. Would’ve been well £#%&!ged out and in need of a proper break and good pre-season. They got neither, due to the owners whoring them around the US in order to make them more £#%&!ing money. An underwhelming window, with half the players purchased still yet to get into their stride due to injuries. That’s apart from the shit@#%&!s we’re burdened with and can’t shift, causing a log jam to get a decesquad together. Media £#%&!ing loving it delighting in our “humiliation” (don’t ever recall arse or dippers being “humiliated” 1-3) but is it really any wonder?
G2c most in support of Erik despite #@&%!s in the media already talking about him being sacked. They can’t £#%&!ing wait. Not expebig things but we’ll pull out of this.

Easy to point the finger at pampered players but it has hardly been ideal conditioning, with us being put up against rivals at short notice while they get a nice little break etc.Easy to dance to the media tune of selective sensationalism . They can £#%&! off. Esp Neville.
