This, Blind is a left back/wing back or a negative midfielder (not to replace Carrick because of above) who is the van gaal equivalent of what Darren Ferguson was to Fergie for years.
Carrick had his worst game for a long time yesterday because the 3 central defenders didn't have a clue and were taking his space.

Why did the manager not let Shaw get forward yet as soon as he goes off he encourages his £#%&!ing son to?
