I actually ran this morning for the first time in yonks - will continue to do the same run (maybe) and just try and do it faster and faster.

Can't run for long periods myself, find it mind crushingly tedious after a while. I break my b***** with quick bursts, can't do slow jogs and I can't understand how people go for hour long solid jogs. Fair f***s to them but I can't do that.
I'd prefer 5 a side football over jogging every time. Does more for you too imo.
