Of course most Fredsters will be too tall and making a shit load in IT before heading to Superkarts.

I could have done it on paper. Right degree and health but unfortunately my personality wouldn't suit.

In space nobody can hear you flounce.

I'm too tall so the rest of the criteria are irrelevant.

Too old.
Too tall.
Can't speak anything of a foreign language except for a few swearwords.
Fail 2 of the 3 health criteria.
My degree is only a Bachelors degree.

So, where do I sign?

Imagine being that guy who just orbited the far side of the moon on the Apollo mission, as your mates landed you have to stay up there ...

The minute the earth vanished from view...

honestly think I'd have a full meltdown...

Come on lads - next war will be fought in space. We need to sort this out.

What do they actually have to do? All autopilot ain't it. Test a few new food pouches, few daily stretches. Absolute wum career

I'd do it in a heartbeat

Transplant my brain into a robot body if needs be (anything better than a Henry Hoover)

Having a mooch around Mars, a swim around the seas of Europa, barnstorming around the Oort Cloud, having snowball fights with the aliens

Space station is one huge blag ...

Case in point: On Friday, March 27, astronaut Scott Kelly and cosmonauts Gennady Padalka and Mikhail Kornienko launched at 3:42 pm but were crammed inside of their Soyuz spacecraft for another 6 hours. They didn't dock with the ISS until 9:36 pm that evening....

God, hope they are ok......

Like a flight to Madeira....

I've got 2 degrees but they're in social sciences not real science.

I can speak a fair bit of German but I'm not fluent. If I asked for a satellite I might get a sausage.

I think my health may rule me out tbf.

Anyway, I'm far too tall for their spaceships. Seems they only want dwarves.

this is a great book.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Astronauts-...ks%2C69&sr=1-1

I never realised but in the take-off phase they have to be prepared to abort (not like that silly) at any stage so they could come down over so many types of terrain. They have to do survival training over many types of land/water and so as the take off progresses, they are adjusting their escape plan.
