Doubt it. They wouldn’t have spent the money they did. UNLESS they’re having one more go to get into the champions league and raise its value a bit.

Wouldn’t the players (new signings) be seen as assets which would raise the value anyway?

Or with the Ronaldo stuff affecting the stock markets (would it?), the talk of them selling would counter that (would it?).

When the main team sponsor is looking to jump ship stuff has to happen.

They're fast becoming a toxic brand. The most famous bloke in the world just went on TV to slag them off.

They can’t afford it anymore, they’ve neglected too much and entrusted spending to halfwits for too long. They’re at break point, if they wait too much longer the amount of investment required added to the loss and devaluation of sponsors will see the worth in a sale plummet.

Would still be shocked if we were to end up benefitting (aside from getting shut of them), the volume of investment required after the purchase is outrageous. We’ll probably end up being sold to some form of investment consortium which will leave us facing most of the same issues.

Selling at the top of the market. Getting out before the mayhem next year. Makes sense given its essentially a family-asset not an institution or consortium. Could definitely see this happening.
