Lovely that, cheers, was bang into boddies back in the day, 100% adverts got me ....

The Manchester Venice advert was class...

Early to mid 90’s I absolutely loved Boddies.

Can’t remember the last time I saw it for sale down here.

Stockport beer, great stuff when I was a lad. Mates dad worked in Boddies so got a tour of the brewery. Was better before it went national

Dunno if it’s still available but they used to do a stronger version that I was a big fan of.

Boddingtons Gold was just that.

That’s the stuff they sell over here in the US. Has PUB ALE written on the can, rather than DRAUGHT BITTER. I still enjoy it, along with Belhaven, and Wexford Crème Ale. They also used to do John Smith’s, but can’t get hold of that lately. If you enjoy a cask real ale, it’s about as good as you’re going to get over here. Certainly more preferable than these craft IPA liquid air-freshener-type beers that are everywhere. Can’t get used to those at all.

Cask Boddies was in a different league than the regular stuff.
