Jota is a lucky boy to be starting, he was horrendous in the last one. Joao Felix must be a better option, relentless pressing aside? If he comes on & does bits in the last 20’ I guess it’s a good tactical decision.

Souness is a dick, isn’t he?

They love contradicting themselves, these lot. Often banging on about modern players being shrinking violets, yet when Neville brings up Bruno getting frustrated and demanding the ball, he goes all

“We wouldn’t have stood for that in my days”

What, players with high standards who want the ball?

Another old ‘back in my day’ dinosaur. Graeme, it hasn’t been ‘your day’ in 40 years.

Souness generally talks with old skool authority but he’s wildly out of touch there. Latin temperament about lack of standards is the same as Keane calling you a massive useless £#%&!ing @#%&! in the centre circle. Histrionics might not play well with his version of the game but the principle is the same from Bruno. The suavely out of touch botoxed bespoke suited Scouse @#%&! might want to have a look around at when it is.
