I think I'd encrypt the text, put it into a text document, set up several online cloud storage accounts with several reliable providers with false details under a VPN, and then upload the encrypted file there.

Probably wouldn't print them off onto a paper document and stash it somewhere.

If you can securely store the paper somewhere, in a safe or something, it's better than sticking it in the cloud ffs.

Nope, you'd need to physically retreive the paper, which could be troublesome if you're on the run. In the cloud you can retreive the codes from anywhere on the planet and access your e-money securely.

Right, joined Coinebase and Bitcoin seems to have dropped before I had a chance to invest. What should I throw a couple of hundred quid at? Also probably been covered extensively but won't Facebook Libra or some other tech monolith just steam in when crypto takes off and blow everyone out of the water?

No. One of the massive plus points of bitcoin is that no-one owns or controls the production of it. So yes libra or some government coin might well be useful and attractive to some peoole. But for anyone looking to potentially store wealth away from bankers/governments/wealthy billionaires/wronguns/fools and so on then you're fast running out of options. Bitcoin will always offer that.
