Don’t think the commercial department have ever realised a successful united team would create the worlds most marketable players. They seem to think we need to sign ready made marketable players regardless of how shit the team is.

Hopefully Arnold totally separates the football and commercial sides of the club. That would solve the fundamental issue at the club, which only fergie could overcome as manager due to his financial importance being more than any player. Football has to be purely about football, with the commercial department making money off the back of that rather than having any actual influence on footballing decisions.
