Fergie said it. It's mentioned in the match thread towards the end.

I'd say there is still a small chance he plays.

does anyone else think that rio is finished?

Far too injury prone nowadays, added to him throwing his elbows about and getting a ban, he's not exactly reliable

Wage thief

it's starting to look that way. certainly don't think we can rely on him for more than 20 games a season, which is not really enough. especially if it's play two miss three all season long. you need a settled back four.

just said the same thing in the vidic offski thread, i like evans a lot but he needs an experienced partner.

rio + vidic together is the best there is, evans + either of them is little worse. but we don't want brown + evans too often so we need an experienced centre half whether vidic stays or goes imo.

Agree we need someone 25-28 who is experienced and established to nurture Evans and Smalling so we have 3 + Brown/O'Shea for two slots. Unfortunately has to be world class and cheap as chips.

How has he managed this by sitting on his arse for three weeks? Pallister syndrome. Get him fit for the shop window world cup and flog him for lots.
