The champions league is a funny one. I wonder if its psychological, you get teams like liverpool, chelsea, madrid who have won it in the last decade, where madrid are the only team to have once won the league and champions league . chelsea and liverpool didnt manage it on either occasion.

for me winning your league and european cup really submits your team as the best in europe, you cant be " best in europe" and the 4th best team in your own league.

Man city, as much as i hate them are the best team in the country, and judging on how chelsea walked over atletico and real madrid, its safe to say the premier league is the strongest league in the world, yet they have only made 1 final in the last 5/6 years.

the strongest teams should be winning it, its what gives the champions league its prestige IMO. ( but im glad city ballsed it )
