Default Derby sacked Davies - plebs.

Linkage

Granted they're pony, but at what point did they expect to get promoted when he joined them? £40m or so for getting into this league + the parachute payments, surely that's set them up far better than anything they've done recently. There are some stupid @#%&!s in football these days.

If they sack him it's the stupidest decision since the last idiotic managersacking. It was a minor miracle getting them promoted in the first place, now to sack him 'cos a Championship playoff team is struggling in the PL well it'd be beyond moronic. They need to go down, then use the PL money they get to build again and they aren't gonna get a better manager than Davies to do this.

Why do clubs who over achieve subsequently sack their manager when they start struggling in leagues way above where they should be? What a joke, they will go down and be lesser a club than they were with him. Also, what must the next manager do to avoid the sack? Get them up and keep them up despite not spending money? No one can do that.

After losing to Chelsea as well... did they expect a result?

They need to have a look around, how much did Sunderland spend for £#%&!s sake? Some continuity & splashing a few quid in January to help them along for next year wouldn't have been the end of the world, just come back stronger & think of a bigger picture. Anyone who thinks they could have done a better job than Davies with that squad is delirious.

There must be some prize £#%&!wits on their board.

Are the prem parachute payments still in effect ?

I honestly think a fair few of the recently promoted clubs did't give a £#%&! when they were relegated, as long as they get promoted again within 2 seasons they'll have made money.

I take it this means that once again we will be playing a team boosted by 'New Manager Syndrome'.

I wonder if they've approached Mourinho?

Seriously though, it's a £#%&!ing joke they have sacked him. Hopefully he will now get a job where he has less of a £#%&!er as his boss.

The world has gone mad. Their chairman should be sacked... Davies was responsible for them punching above their weight in the first place so they sack him - and they will achieve exactly what as a result?

to be honest davies does look clueless.

a month into job he is saying he needs money in january because current squad is just not good enoguh. it takes all motivation that current players have till january.

on inept @#%&! out of the league. thank £#%&!.

I think they should give the job to a more talented, more educated, more cultured french, portugese coaches... sarcasm

£#%&!ing stupid decision, for the reasons stated above.

watford did it right. they knew they would probably go down, but backed boothroyd to spend the extra money they got to buy players who would get them back out of the championship at the first time of asking.

Exactly. Isn't it £30 million for coming bottom of the league?
