Good Squad player.

Rather have him than Richardson, HE MUST BE SOLD!

I'm actually chuckling at the thought of him training with some of the attacking talent we've got now. He can't even get the ball off the floor on a regular basis ffs. Might be worth keeping him around for the comedy value though.

He'll still be a useful backup player, which is exactly the kind of player he should be.

It'll be nice to look to the bench to change a game and have better options than Smith, Richardson and O'Shea.

Was thinking the exact same this evening.

Feel for the lad in a way , as there he'll never get a first team spot now.

good back up, but he probably deserves more than that.

Agree.

They must go, but I do feel sorry for Smith, Gabby and Park.

Yeah, they all deserve first team football to be fair, but they won't get it at United now. While we are all basking in glee, some of the lads in the squad must be - ' at the news of each signing.

OUT

Park
Richardson
Silvestre
O'Shea

STAY

Smith
Heinze
Brown
Rossi

Smith, Heinze and Brown should be kept for those rough games where we're at risk of getting muscled out against lower level opposition.

OUT:

Smith
Richardson
Silvestre
O'Shea (maybe, would put the youngsters up the pecking order to give them a chance)

I would definately keep o'pie, Smith & Richardson can bring in cash and they are more than surplus to requirements so sell them to the highest bidder. I really hope Rossi gets a chance and does well but it's going to be tough for the lad.

The fight for positions is going to be intense and should keep the squad fresher deeper into the season.

If we're selling to fund the Tevez transfer then selling Smith and Richardson won't be enough. Heinze, Rossi and Pique are the players that could raise some decent money and so I fear one or two of them will be sold. I'd really like to see Rossi stay, but I'm not confident. Both of them could be given first team opportunities if we're willing to clear out all the deadwood.

I'd keep smith as a battling midfielder for the 3rd round cup games against div 1 sides.

Hargreaves needs to be used for pl and cl because realistically he's the only decent defensive midfielder we've got.

You'd keep Smith for games against Championship sides instead of selling him for 6/7 million? Why?!?!?!

That'll do his career the world of good.

I know that they wont cover the cost of Tevez Tree but they will help. I'm not arsed if Heinze goes really, I like him but if his hearts not in it then let him go and get decent money for him too. Evra is a far more attacking and dynamic left back and will compliment Gaz well. Yeah Pique will probably go to but still hope Rossi stays.

I also wouldn't mind if Heinze left, but since hearing he's really good friends with Tevez I was thinking that we might keep him. I think Heinze was awful last season, but I'd still rather see Silvestre leave. We could sell both, but that might leave us a little thin at the back.

True enough Pal. But didn't we have 9 left backs at the start of last season?
