He's as good as he always was. Standards are lower at West Brom (and at city it would seem).

He was and is still better than Smalling.

Well said.

He was very good after that red card vs City up until Fergie's retirement. Good on the ball, showed maturity and was a very capable defender. What happened afterwards, particularly in his last season what with injuries and reshuffling dented his confidence and that showed in his performances.

His confidence was far too fragile to play for us. Too many runs of bad form, even when more experienced.

I'm sure they're planning on winning the league with their decent attacking line and by buying everyone else's defenders.

Yep...

Sparky has nailed it again, he's a bench player and they need to up their home grown quota. He's also seen as a ball playing centre back, which Pep loves.
