They’ve lost their pulling power, don’t seem to be on the radar of top players any more. Probably because they don’t pay the wages the top clubs do tbf, better to keep winning the Bundesliga and give Europe a go with a sustainable squad instead of throwing good money after bad like PSG and Juve only to come up short.
