Default *OFFICIAL* Match Thread - Manchester United v Aston Villa 04/04/15

TEAM NEWS

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has again been ruled out with a lingering ankle injury.
Luke Shaw has recovered from a hamstring problem but Chris Smalling is a big doubt because of illness.
Aston Villa captain Ron Vlaar is fit after six weeks out with a calf problem, while Jores Okore and Joe Cole have also overcome injuries.
The game could come too soon for Aly Cissokho and Nathan Baker, while United loanee Tom Cleverley is ineligible.
Kieran Richardson and Philippe Senderos are back in training but may not be risked.

Same as last time then, but Rojo into the middle for Smalling and Shaw at left back. 3-0 to us, should be a piece of piss

What about Blind, who's been very good the past couple of games? I agree Shaw should be our left back, but harsh to leave out Blind at the minute...

LVG definitely has an ultra cautious approach to injuries, don't think anyone has gone straight into a game once they start training have they?

Tends to be out injured, then back training for at least a few weeks before getting near a match day squad.

Don't see Shaw starting for awhile yet

It's disappointing that T-Clev's ineligible to play.

£#%&!ing International break came at a shit time:shakehead:
we finally get a bit of rhythm & consistency in our play and we have to sack it off for a fortnight.

should have more than enough to beat Villa at home mind you.

Weimann to have his performance of the season against us.

If we play the same as Spurs and Scouse games, easy win, just slightly nervous that we have another shit start and make it more difficult than it needs to be

He can't sign a pre-contract with anyone in this country until June/July, it's against the rules.
