Sunderland favourites. He's £#%&!ing shit but was called Hames early doors and from that point forward he was impossible to criticise.

It's most similar to the Rossi situation, he went on to be a top striker, although hampered with injuries by the end.

He was amazing in reserves and never got a chance cos we sent him on loan and preferred to loan larsson. He was a class act and could've easily been a 20 goal a season player for us.

Wilson is the best reserve striker since Rossi. He looked better than rashford.

That said he never took his chances and rashford has been ridiculous in the first team. That loan move from LVG killed wilsons chances.

No arguments on Rashford, but Keane FFS 😱. The kid is a born goal scorer. TBF he was not only shit at Wigan, he looked disinterested & shit . Sell him with a buy back option or some kind of insurance . As Mou said about Rooney, scoring goals is the hardest thing to do & Wilsons overall record is excellent

What's that based on? Performances for the reserve team? Personally i would rather have given Wilson a proper run in the side and see what he's actually capable of than sign Ibrahimovic.

What I don't get about Wilson is that van gaal played just about every youth player he could, yet Wilson barely got a sniff after a few first team games in van gaal's first season. Obviously gig written off then. Must be something going on with attitude or something. Or he's just a shit player with a bit of pace.

When he played against our lot there were strong rumours at the time that he'd had a bit of a late night. This didn't help.

Another young player with an "attitude" problem, eh? Its almost as if becoming immensely rich after doing £#%&! all isn't automatically a good thing.

Wasn't like that in my day

Pique, was a big and a good call, but wasn't it a case of him actively wanting to move back home? He was hardly ditched for not being good enough.

As for Shawcross and Heaton, maybe they'd get into our current squad but first team starters - nahhh - and neither have gone on to be truly major, world class stars.

Shame about Varela, if true. I know he hardly set the world alight and had a mare in the the CL, but he's got bags of talent and was hoping he'd stick around
Pique was a good player and Ferie obviously didn't want him to leave but he wanted first team football (and rightly so) but there was a certain Rio/Vidic partnership in his way.

He is not good enough.

47 games 9 goals

20 games 4 goals for united

27 games 5 goals for Brighton

Rashers

18 games 8 goals.

Shame if true, as there were such high hopes. Van Gaal was making the point last season when praising the consistency of some of our young players, that good debuts mean very little. In fact it's quite common for young players to do well in their first game or two. You learn much more in the third, fourth and fifth games. Truth is he's made very little impression over the last couple of years.

Fortunately for us, in Bo-Jak, Shaw, Mensah, Martial, Rashford and hopefully Bailly, we have a core U21 who look to be the real deal.

Worth a shot for a club like that. We'll probably let him go for peanuts.
