Llorient are obviously taking a big gamble on him but maybe it will work out for them. Shame it's just a loan as we'll probably see him again in 12 months time and we'll hear how he's ready for a rebirth at Old Trafford.

donny wishes he'd had a tenth of the united career and performances that blind did. definitely wasn't a failure. 90 games he played and they paid 16m to take him back. (probs one of our top10 fees received that)

Yes, we obviously need technical and athletic, as opposed to one or the other.

He was shit, that's why we ditched him despite us being desperate for decent defenders. We were lucky that Ajax would have him back.

He was a bit like Harry Magure except without any physicality whatsoever. He was capable of a decent long pass every so often but that didn't cover the fact he had no idea where the opposing threat was coming from.

ok mate. have a good day.

PS: they paid more to sign him back than we paid to sign him! since done 124 appearances for Ajax, plus played for Bayern and still playing in la liga at 33, plus however many games for holland after dying on the pitch

Therein lies the problem. Our budget gets you one or the other. To be fair, there aren't many that have both. Casemiro when he's in form, Rhodri, Tchouaméni, Partey and Rice are all at that level but there's not many others. All of them apart from Partey are £100m+ players and we wouldn't touch Partey for obvious reasons.

Wow, 124 games for Ajax! Don't tell EtH, he'll probably be on the phone to his agent.

Joking aside, he was shit. Same as VdB. The purists tell us what great players they are but they contribute nothing to the team.

Then why did none of the European giants come in for him when we ditched him? And we did ditch him.

He was 29 and wanted to go back to the Netherlands....

Anyway, please try and stay in topic, start a Blind thread, a poll, you'll find he was appreciated much more than a harry Maguire

Donny was a good bowler, and a good man. He was one of us. He was a man who loved the outdoors... and bowling, and as a surfer he explored the beaches of Southern California, from La Jolla to Leo Carrillo and... up to... Pismo. He died, like so many young men of his generation, he died before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364. These young men gave their lives. And so would Donny. Donny, who loved bowling. And so, Theodore Donald Karabotsos, in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been, we commit your final mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which you loved so well. Good night sweet prince.
