Question Has Rooney ever had a good game on Merseyside...

What about the 4-2 at Goodison? And he also scored in a 2-0 win there

Scored the winner that glorious sunny day in 07 when we all but got our title back

Not many though. Freggle dropped him from this fixture a couple of times because he knew he was likely to lose the head.

The 4-2 was a good performance and he's generally played well in games we've won. ....but for the most part he seems to shrink. .....particularly at anfield. He scored once in his debut season but has done absolutely £#%&! all since then.

Still prefer 18 year old rooney. .... less of an all round player, perhaps....but a raw, thrilling little bastard. Exciting as hell. Fearless. I get little or no joy from him now.

2007, wasn't it?

He played well in that game, and gave it to the Scouse @#%&!s when he scored, too.

Great season. Such a small squad but a proper ruthless set of bastards swimming against the Chelsea tide. Rooney and Ronaldo. ..A rejuvenated Scholes. ...Carrick. ...Vidic coming of age. ...Evra likewise. ..... and the best football we've played since the 90s.

My favourite title win ever.

Apart from 1996 Ofcourse.

And 1993.

Obviously.

And that other one.

At the start of that (2006/07) campaign hardly anybody gave us a chance - most of our own fans included.

Parallels with a certain team this season, though it all but kills me to admit it

He's scored a few times on Merseyside but rarely played well. In fact I don't think he's ever played well at Anfield

His best performance was his first game back at Goodison in the 2005 FA cup match. On his own up front he was excellent
