my ability to lol at city has somewhat been drying up over the past few years as i've watched them buy their way to lifting trophies, but them being knocked out of the fa cup by wigan two seasons in a row has been quite amusing

oh, and most people forgetting about them winning the league a few days after they won it this past season, due to nobody actually caring

A few days? By 10pm that night the main headline on sky sports news was Ashley Cole retiring from international football.

In truth it was a headline, but it wasn't a very interesting story. They beat West Ham 2-0 at home in a pretty mundane match. No surprises, no twists. Nobody really cared about it (apart from City fans, but compared to 2012 it must have felt somewhat flat)
