maybe not as well as he used to, but he's more versatile.

Ideally I would rather rooney wasn't involved at all.

so you're solution is to replace someone who you think can't with someone who we know can't?

I doubt we'll ever see a Rooney - RvP - Falcao start tbch but it's not a bad headache to be worrying about at the minute.

We needed something to get us and the players buzzing again and this window has certainly done that.

LvG’s suggested more than once this season that 3-5-2 was simply a reaction to the players that were currently available to him. With the new signings and players recovering from injury, I suspect we’ll see the wing backs disappear and a move to playing one proper striker. Either 3-4-3 or 4-3-3.

One of Mata, Rooney or RvP will be shipped out by next summer, nqat.

Is the general consensus that Rojo plays left centre back, Shaw left back and Blind in a holding midfield role?

Rojo and Blind have played all their club football for the last season in the positions people are naming them in. Shaw's only ever played left back far as I'm aware. Seems perfectly logical.
