The logic behind a lot of Ferguson transfers seems a bit skewed.

Makes your blood boil. In his eighth year with us too.

And Young and Nani between them on a quarter of a million a week.

Joke of a club.

Would any other club, at all, have paid him those wages having paid £18 million for him? No.

So why did we? Surely we weren't held to ransom to sign ashley £#%&!ing young? Meanwhile Vidal moved to Juve for £12 million.:shakehead:
I believe we were actually in competition with Kenny Dalglish for his signature at the time.

He signed Downing for even more money when he missed out.

So in addition to an £18m fee, they've also paid out £18m in wages to Young in the last three years?

He's cost us £36m so far?

While it’s neither the time, nor the place to mention this, it's worth remembering that (as usual) JC was all in favour of signing this £#%&!er.

Tbf Young was a good Premier League player. I just don't think anyone outside of Fergie ever considered him for United.

He was suited to the type of side Fergie was looking to build. How on earth did he blag those wages, though?

I always admire people who can blag an enormous salary for doing £#%&! all, and footballers seem to be particularly good at it. Second reserve keeper, never under any pressure whatsoever, could walk down a busy street and never get remotely mithered, yet he pockets 40 grand a month basically for having a few lazy kickabouts and doing a bit of gym work. Fair play I say.
