Angry Player Wages at United

Ffs, this is disgusting to read. Who sanctions all these deals, and why the £#%&! do we pay so much for such utter shit@#%&!s?

Ashley Young - £115,000 per week.
Nani - £115,000 per week.
Marouane Fellaini - £70,000 per week.
Anderson - £80,000 per week.
Javier Hernández - £88,000 per week.
Danny Welbeck - £80,000 per week.

Quote:
If United were to sell Welbeck, Young, Hernández, Anderson, Kagawa and Cleverley before the end of the transfer window, they would save a total of £463,000 a-week. With the potential departures of Nani and Fellaini in the future, this figure could reach a staggering £646,000-a-week that the club would save.

Van Persie's the top earner? Rooney not on 300k a week after all like everyone keeps saying?

Was sure I read somewhere that Fellaini was on closer to £100k, hence making it practically impossible to ever sell him?

Either way, £#%&!ing grim reading. Was Ashley Young ever considered good enough to be on £115K?

They look like old figures in some cases. Hasn't Valencia signed a new deal for instance?

Considering that Woodward told everyone to expect a significant increase on the wage bill and we are in the middle of knocking off about £1m a week plus, with those that have gone already (Evra, Rio, Vidic, Giggs, Buttner) and those seemingly going, there must be some serious moves afoot.

Interesting timing, Mitten posted on the Playup weeks ago they needed to trim the fat.

Leaking wages will help put pressure on the players left behind to take a cut and move on for first team football.

It's like it's been planned.

When you add the amount we've shaved off the wage bill with the likes of Vidic, Rio, Giggs, Evra etc... and it looks like the club have will have knocked about £1m per week off player salaries

If the published numbers are correct for the incoming players (Di Maria £170k, Rojo £50k, Herrera £70k) you can see where all the money is coming from to fund the transfers. They're saving over £35m a year on player wages

That's the only possible rationalisation for going public.

Woodward said he expected the wage bill to be higher too.

I read that all the player contract had clauses in it which meant they lost 1/4 of their weekly wages of they ever dropped out of the champions league places. Not sure about that, but I think someone else can confirm.
