I always got the impression he had a big soft spot for, United, particuly if his commentry, when United beat Liverpool in 77 & Everton in 85, were anything to go by & he seemed to get just as much pleasure from , Norman Whiteside's Goals in those big cup ties as we did

He did the commentary on some of the 80's VHS United Season Reviews or whatever they were called, defo a secret red

Nice one & just for once fairplay to the club for doing the right thing as some of, John Motson's best commentry's were on Important Man United winners, particuly In The FA Cup
