"they've not been tested"

yeah, our nearest rivals spent £300m between them over the last 12 months but we weren't tested.

He's playing in the A-League, that's about as dead as a footballer can be.

To think he's younger than Giggs and Scholes

It's total nonsense - If we ran away with the league you could say we weren't tested.

What most of the ABU #@&%!s don't realise is that the closeness of the league and the fact that everyone can beat everyone else shows the relative strength of it not it's weakness.

i don't think it really shows either tbh. united have dropped a lot of points from playing badly, simple as that. we've played reigning champs and now runners-up chelsea 5 times and should've won all 5 games, so doesn't that suggest that the league was slightly weaker maybe.

the PL did badly in the CL last season and only had one s/f this time (now a finalist)

last season it had two s/f (and a finalist) in the europa, this season it did badly

united are top of the uefa co-efficient league i think

You're right actually the closeness of the league doesn't prove that other teams are any better, but it does show that all the teams are moving towards a similar standard.

Truthfully though, we have chucked away so many points this year from doing as you say "playing badly" wtf happened at Wolves being the biggest example?

the 25+8 squad rule has had a big effect imo, making it much harder for the cl clubs to juggle league and cl commitments. i don't think that's appreciated tbh but one look at chelsea's bench this season tells a story. the number of times the top clubs have been rolled over by mid-table or lower-half rubbish is in large part related to the squad rule. imo.

Hard to juggle if you've not got a Fergie.
