I miss the days of United’s pre season tours meant playing Celtic or some Norwegian team and then a game at old Trafford.

Playing the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in pre season still doesn’t seem right

Same. We should be playing teams we’re never likely to play, not teams we face in the league in about 5 weeks

Nice. Couple players short of being our best 11. Should be a good game.

Nice to see Mainoo in there, but where’s my brand new goalkeeper? Weight Watchers meeting?

let’s get then excuses out the way then when we fail to score and generally looking as impotent as last season.

I think the majority of the Ten Haggers will say were we great regardless.

I think todays game will be interesting, hope we win but i doubt it

Relax, we’ll be signing at least one striker before the window closes.

And only rashford is missing from a goal scoring perspective.

but yeah having eriksen and vdb then buying mount made perfect sense when we don’t have any “goalscorers” while needed at least 2 or 3

We need 2 or even 3.

We don’t just need one striker. We need a striker, a 2nd striker so he isn’t flogged to death and an off the bench one to come in games where it’s just not working.

Instead we will be brining in eriksen/vdb for mount while moving rashford centrally every £#%&!ing game.

I said “at least one striker”, as I’m hopeful we’ll get 2. Kane and Hojlund is the dream but I’m tired of being disappointed so I reckon it’ll just be Rasmus, with Martial as back up and Rashford to be moved centrally as your third man scenario (“where it’s just not working”).

I do agree we probably need 2 but if we’re being realistic it’s most likely to be one. Can’t think of many teams that have signed two in one window. Let’s wait and see though.

Im pretty sure Ten Hag was saying he wants the right man brought in asap, so contrary to what you’re saying he obviously does want a striker.

I don’t think players sign in the order that we need them, you know.
