Seriously? That was the most stage managed parade you’ll ever see. 500 yards, stage where there’s a narrow street. It was organised just for one PR shot where 5,000 fans can look like a massive turnout.

One thing is for sure, we can now say Abu Dhabi are very aware of the lack of interest in their project and the lack of spark it ignites. No other reason to organise such a parade other than expecting a poor turnout. In a record breaking season.

We’ve spent £90m less so far during the respective managers tenures, having finished the previous season on equal points..

True but city have been pumping money in for 9 years and have been setting the club up in the background for baldie 2-3 years before he arrived.
They will also just pay the money for a target player as money is no object.

United on the other hand have the gimps and woody haggling over a few million here and there and the football is a distant second to revenue intake.

I'm not excusing Jose for his boring shit on a stick football either

Incredible.

it's almost as if Guardiola took over a team that already had a core of excellent players who were among the best in the division and then added another 450 million quid's worth of talent on top of that and Jose took over a team that had been floundering around 6th for 3 years, lost all belief and had a squad infested with over-priced crap.

Not only that but his figures are sadly flawed.

Transfer spending since they both took charge in 2016

Guardiola £437m
Mourinho £295m

So that's actually a difference of 142 million, not 90. Or 7.5 million per point they finished ahead of us.

He doesn’t care about the figures. They’re irrelevant. Everyone knows what ‘purchased’ means when used in reference to city, including dunk. But he’s so bitter, he‘ll defend city to attack mourinho. Another couple of years and he may well be supporting them.

Digging out mourinho. By defending city. And needing to pretend to not know what ‘purchased’ means in reference to them in order to do so.

United as a whole. Shit owners, shit management, shit planning, shit managerial appointments, shit signings etc. The list goes on and on.

Been saying it since Fergie was here.

It's too £#%&!ing easy to dismiss their upturn with 'they've bought it'. It doesn't acknowledge that United have £#%&!ing let them and continue to do so.

On a thread about city, replying to a post about city. And limiting your response to the period of time mourinho has been here.

The figure I was remembering was up to Jan when they bought Laporte. Of course, you add what we spent on Sanchez and it'd be miles closer.

My point being that United have done their level best to 'buy it' too and haven't even got close due to basically being a bit shit at it.
