It’s not Fergie whose been renewing the little shit’s contract for the last six years. Nor crowbarring him into a fullback/striker/centre half role. Nor making him captain ffs.
Maybe it is

Ashley fecking Young as club captain, what a shambles.
Its the main reason why he signed Zlat, that should be obvious now if it wasn't at the time.

With him we won the UEL, carbao cup and finished 2nd in the league the following season (things started to crumble after he left). Theres an interview with Luke Shaw in which he says Pogba nutmeged him and scored a winning goal in training. Shaw was on the same team zlatan and wasnt happy with him and constantly reminded him of it. Now, can you imagine that hunchback doing that? Absolutely not, he's too busy eating bird shit.

Young would get laughed off if he tried that. A captain should lead by example and earn his authority to dish out a %@#$&!ing. Instead the other players look at him and say "you're the worst player here, £#%&! off"

Don't think we have a single captain or potential captain in the squad tbh.

Usually in that scenario you give it to your best player. Pogba already had a taste of it and it might just mature him more because he has to step it up and lead the rest. I think he'll grow into it.

Yep. Bloke who looked terrified of being here for well over a year but then had a good six months is probably out best bet. Says a lot.

I could see it happening, but he's not captain material.

If the reports of Koulibaly are true that's an interesting one. And potentially someone who would lead Pogba in particular.

Said it many many times, and yes it's stating the obvious, but within 2 years of fergie leaving we lost about 8 captains throughout the squad

Scholes
Giggs
Rio
Vida
G Nev
Rooney
RVP
Evra

Leaving only Carrick with any kind of authority/leadership qualities (and not exactly the most vocal of captains)

Failure to replace the personalities as much as the skillset of those players has been key to the downfall - one of the things jose got right was bringing in Ibra. Should have kept him on tbh if only for his presence.

And Louis with Bastian tbf. This is why we need to sign older players.

Surely there's a basic internet law which says "any transfer rumour which begins with "BREAKING"..." is a load of manure?

It's the content rather than the form which raises suspicions in this case.

However I want to believe so I'm ignoring it.
