Oh well. Forget it then.
What is their obsession with class?

What did they want city to do? Bow to them at the end?

Not sure of their definition of a lack of class either.

Doesn't include defenders screaming at an opposition player as they're about to shoot, or diving like you've been shot when an opposing defender touches your arm in the penalty box obviously.

Because they’re special. We’ll never understand. We’re not one of them, la.

Its an eye opener as to how narratives work. Liverpool have been able to shape this narrative that they're the first team in living memory to have a bad run of injuries.

I vividly remember the 1997/98 season. First season after our club captain cantona had shockingly retired at 30. Our new club captain Roy Keane does his cruciate ligament 9 games into the season away at Leeds. We were going great tbh until after christmas when the injuries started piling up. Giggs was constantly injured, pallister constantly injured, nicky butt injured as well as david may.

Then in our do-or-die crunch home game against arsenal we had TWO fit midfielders at the club. David Beckham and Paul scholes. This was our starting line up:

And in that game peter schmeichel tears his hamstring running back after going up for a corner. Arsenal won 1-0, the rest is history.

But nobody seems to remember the fact that our squad was decimated, they only remember Arsenal winning. Maybe because the club and manager didn't make it the theme of the £#%&!ing season.

Cole missed a great chance to equalise at the end too.

The issue with Liverpool is what they’ve allowed the injuries to do. Tbf, it’s not just van dijk. Gomes is also done for the season too. Matip can’t be relied upon. I expected them to miss him for certain games, or perhaps drop points where the squad is stretched to the limit, but there’s bigger problems for them, and that’s highlighted by the fact they’ve lost with him and won well without him. There was no talk of their injuries when they won 2-0 at West Ham, then followed it with a 3-1 win at Spurs. They had a good run after van dijks injury where they were more than happy to bang on about how great Fabinho is back there.

You would expect it to affect games, but not for their season to completely unravel. It doesn’t explain Firmino going to shit or Thiago looking like a flop or their full backs looking shadows of themselves or that keeper and his frosty toes.

As sparky said, we had patched up teams in 98 and we were competitive. We had the famous fletcher/evra axis in 09 and we didn’t let our season unravel because of it.

They’ve just fallen to bits NOW. They were fine up until a couple of months ago, well into their injury problems.

Moaning #@&%!s.

We actually played quite well. Arsenal's goalkeeper Alex Manninger had the game of this life.

Funnily enough Klopp actually signed him to the vermin a couple of years back, he was 40 years old... no idea if he's still on their books.

This was done long ago, and by better people than us. The onus is on those who believe He exists to show that, not the other way round.

No it wasn’t. Even if you take the burden of proof stance you’ve just taken, it still takes on board that you “can’t prove a negative” and all that. No one has ever been able to prove that God doesn’t exist. No one has ever been able to prove he does.

So the simple answer is no then? Cheers.

Thing that makes me laugh about you £#%&!ing leftists is that you have no problem going through life being permanently offended by the least little things, but have no issue whatsoever shitting on other peoples beliefs with your aetheistic poison. Hypocrite.

Apologies for the slight de-railment of the thread. I’m done.

God doesn't exist because we are owned and run by assholes.

God doesn't exist because murderers get away with murder and the blame gets passed onto others while the actual guilty people act as victims.

God doesn't exist because he lets the abovementioned group of people win the league, multiple European Cups and the club world cup.

Above all, God doesn't exist because I'm in the hell hole cesspool plane of existence. In this world of pain and suffering, sadness and evil.
