This...
In addition, the top flight's voting system - where a 14-club majority is required to pass any proposals - would be changed.

I cant remember what it was but recently the top clubs wanted something but shitty teams voted against it.

Pushing b-teams as well aren’t they? It’s not enough to stockpile players having taken them from lower league teams for buttons, now they want to make everything below the championship a glorified reserve league.

The rich want to get richer and more powerful

Any clubs outside the big boys would be crazy to go with this
Would be the equivalent of turkeys voting for Christmas

Looks like they’re trying to take advantage of COVID by bailing these lower league sides out but completely screwing them over in the long term

appart from scrapping the EFL cup there isn't much in these changes that are good in the long run.

City pushing for that. In the paper they said this week about it...
"It will stop Germany taking our young players and selling them back to us for 100X their cost."

They won't be approved via the current voting rules. The question is whether there is the appetite for a breakaway of the sort that brought the PL into existence. Could be a big deal for Sky too.

Changing the number of votes required to do pretty much whatever they want from 14 to..........you guessed it, 6!

To be fair, that should be the way. The other clubs in this league are fodder. They're the wives of successful men. They shouldn't be allowed to band together to have a controlling vote when they're the veg on the roast.

You wouldn't allow the carrots, peas and cauliflower to decide what meat you're having or how many yorkshires.

I would think thats its a way to end the collective bargining for the tv right and to allow the clubs to sell the rights to there own games and keep the fees.

I do think all the major European leagues' premier divisions should have the same number of teams/games and an alignment in terms of rest time between domestic and Champions League matches.

While the biggest competitions are spread out to maximise tv exposure, and the FA cup still has replays, that’s literally impossible.

They're giving "special" status to teams like West Ham etc who've been in the prem x amount of years. Probably to get them to vote with the 6.

No need to scrap the League Cup. Simply modify it. If you qualify for Europe, you don't play in the League Cup.
Simple.

Yorkshire are the definition of fodder. Its just batter that's got ideas above it's station.

Meat>roasties>gravy>veg>Yorkshire

That's the natural order of the roast.
