Football Team v Hull

Hopefully the rumours about van Persie being dropped are true and surely we're not going to play 3 centre backs against Hull at home

With that in mind I hope he picks this 11

De Gea
Valencia Smalling McNair Blackett
Carrick
Mata Herrera
Wilson Rooney Di Maria

i imagine it'll be

de gea
valencia
blackett/young
mcnair
smalling
carrick
fellaini
di maria
januzaj/young
rooney
van persie

could have 5 returning crocks on the bench (including young) so wilson will only get on if we need a goal i suppose

agreed.
Credit where it's due.
He should start at LB

No idea what the rest of the side will be because I don't know who's fit, I keep forgetting who plays for us, I refuse to acknowledge Fellaini as a member of our squad and I don't really care who plays against Hull at home 26 hours before KO

considering we won with five at the back against arsenal, he'll change as little as possible. I can see Falcao starting because we seem to have taken our time with him.

I'd like to see herrera back in, but I don't see why he will be. He seems to like fellaini and keeping a winning team.

I think it'll be:

De gea

valencia
smalling
mcnair
blackett
young

Carrick
fellaini
Di Maria (who looks better suited to the 3-5-2 imo)

Rooney
Falcao

I genuinely thought we were playing Stoke.

which doesn't do much for my top redness or ability to read.

Fellaini will definitely start, unfortunately.

I keep forgetting what season it actually is such is the gap between matches these days.
Every £#%&!ing game is an isolated event. no momentum or rhythm to the season or the Football.

no chance he'll play 3-5-2 at home to hull

we'll probably have about 3 counter-attacks in the entire game if he does

3-4-3 maybe, with Carrick dropping in and wingers covering wide midfield?

reckon it'll be a more orthodox United shape though - 4-4-2 with Rooney in the hole, so let's hope his seasonal high is holding.

Why not?

I think he might do given our full backs options. If he plays a convetional 4-4-2 or 4-4-3 it leaves Young and Valencia at full backs rather wing backs.

I think he prefers 4-3-3 or some variation and plays 3-5-2 when it's necessary. It might be necessary tomorrow.

Depends whether Rojo and Rafael are fit too, I guess.

MJ: Shit isn't it? Our own fault though

is there an echo in here?

ps I hope he does go 3-5-2 and has a plan to drag Hull out, but I just don't see our possession game as anywhere near cute enough atm. given we're at home against a team we should beat I just can't see it

I read your post, yeah. Just not sure where you get that from. Not saying he'll definitely play it, but I don't really see a reason why he wouldn't or why it would mean we'd only counter attack.
