What is there to consult with him about? Can only think this has something to do with the sponsorship side of things.

Suspect lots of the big clubs would like his expertise and there must be a bit of concern about the insider knowledge he has about the deals.

For all the talk of him being great at sponsorship deals etc… he’s selling one of the biggest brands in sport ffs, it can’t be that hard?

Asking a noodle company if they want to be associated with Manchester United for $$$$$ must be one of the easier jobs out there.

Yes but the @#%&! is also good at finding what target price they have and saying “can you add a fiver to that to secure the deal now” but not so good at “yes I am happy to pay that price for a player, and will sign it now if you drop that valuation by 50% otherwise we will wait until you are desperate”

Absolutely this. Stops him going to Chelsea with his commercial knowledge.

No way any deal he gets has anything to do with football at all, at any level, in any connection. His financial smarts got the glazers in and has made them guzillions so I'd be surprised if he doesn't stay on the gravy train.
