I hear “Big” Jim was wearing his old United pin, which impressed the glazers because they genuinely care about the club being a community asset.
Then the Qataris threw in another half a billion and it was all forgotten about. Apparently one of the Glazers said something about the oil lads being a bit obtuse, which caused the rest of the family to point and laugh at him. |

Talk the deadline passed because both were told they were pissing in the wind with the offers they were preparing and they’d be rejected out of hand. Not sure what Jim has now whacked in, if he has, if they come in below the 6bn figure they’ll be told to do it again, or just told not to bother and they’ll accept something partial.
