Solid keeper and a good number two keeper
Can't beat a good solid number 2 IMO

My new favourite player, if we sign him of course. Reckon he'll wreak havoc and take shit from no man.

Could have got Rodriguez for similar money or even on loan tbf.

He's a completely different type of player. Rodriguez would have been an upgrade on Miki/Mata but high turnover of players rarely works. We noticeably improved last season with 4 key signings and there's every reason to expect the same thing to happen again this season with 4 more.

I know he is, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have been a good signing and I'm sure he would be effective from a wide position. He's also younger and could have been loaned and let go if he didn't work out, or would have had sell on value having only just turned 26.

As for the rest of your post, I wasn't suggesting replacing either of Miki or Mata with him.

A veritable "are we there yet?" from Sky.

The Sun claiming the fee's been agreed at £40m.

I don't think I have ever felt so 'meh' about a long running (ok a few weeks) transfer sage than this one.

Couldn't give two hoots if the deal fell through.

I suppose you've followed his career closely and are an expert on his strength and weaknesses?

I don't have the foggiest idea who he is or what he does well.

So, no, I haven't.

If I was a bed soiler I'd be crying he hasn't signed yet.

Just that there's been no saging over this player; I saw there was a YouTube video linked (didn't watch it), but pretty sure the response was "shit". Got a weird peanut head as well.
