I have no problem with it tbh, you know the rules at the start of the tournament. Can imagine the semi's might become pretty dirty and cynical if the repurcussions are taken away. It is sad that someone like Keane missed the Final for £#%&! all but that was more about bad reffing than anything else.

Wait, is there an amnesty after the group stage, or have I imagined that?

Not for the semis, for the knockout phase they do I think. But still, that's 3 yellows in 6 games rules you out.
3 yellows over 6 games means youre most likely to miss the final than any other match, if you average a yellow card every other game, which i suppose makes you a bit of a dirty @#%&! to begin with. But, maybe they could have it so you miss the first game of the next season instead. I know, Chelsea havnt yet even qualified for next season, so it wouldnt work in every case, but some sort of delayed ban might be in idea. A straight red you should still miss the final.

maybe the panel ideai is best. It would take about half an hour. Unless you have objectionable plonkers on the panel.

Rescinded ? It gives you carte blanche to cheat from 1 to 11 through a semi-final.

Absolute %@#$&!s, it's the rules. Just don't be a @#%&!.

It's shit refereeing that's the problem atm, that's what needs to be sorted. There's no way Alaba should miss the final because he slipped, fell and Di Maria's shite shot hit his arm

Not sure where this idea of there suddenly being lots of cheating and bad tackles if the yellow card rule was removed comes from. The majority of players go into the 2nd semi final not already on a booking, but you dont suddenly see them chopping down every £#%&!er in sight just because they can afford a yellow card.

we're the internet sages of European football and it's taken three hours to come up with the most simple idea.

I would exclude the majority of these rubes from the panel.

Did you watch this years semi's at all? Seemed a hell of a lot of that to me. The ones who were on yellows doing it only had themselves to blame, dunno why we'd need to legislate for their stupidity/recklessness. Could do with an appeals process maybe, for bad decisions.

They should wipe the cards from the group stages, that's it.

That'd seem sensible.

They should do away with red and yellow cards altogether, it'd be a laugh.
