Robin van Persie should win it, nqat. He's carried the worst Arsenal side in decades and been utterly unplayable at times. Fantastic player.

He just hates our English players doesn't he.

He's gonna be bashing Youngie, Wazza, Welbz, Clevz, Jonesy all summer.

Only ones I haven't seen him castigate are Rio and Smallers, probably cos they're both cockney redz.

It has to be Van Persie. By a country mile. Silva's faded badly, but its voted for early so he has a good chance.

Not questioning his goal return but he's not been a stand-out player for us and is nowhere near his best.
These days he collects the ball deeper but then has no idea what to do with it. Can't remember too many games this season where he single-handedly won us something. RVP has done it week in, week out.

Not having a pop at Rooney, he's an important player, but he doesn't deserve an award for individual excellence.

you really want me to list the games....it could take a while ffs

I think Evans has been brilliant this season but Rooney is, even when not at his best, our matchwinner, end of

Spot on, pal. Van Persie has carried Arsenal on his own for most of the season. Phenomenal year.

That he was from Essex.

RVP should be nailed on for the main award. Hopefully Welbz gets the YPOTY.

Question

Why hasn't Joe Allen been nominated by his fellow professionals? They play against him, presumably they must have noticed he's a "cracking prospect"

Like against Wigan last week?

Rooney doesn't win games the way Ronaldo could or the way RVP does. It's not his fault, he's given a role in the team and does it well.

But he's had better seasons and he can be much better. He hasn't been an outstanding individual this season.
