Not questioning his goal return but he's not been a stand-out player for us and is nowhere near his best.
These days he collects the ball deeper but then has no idea what to do with it. Can't remember too many games this season where he single-handedly won us something. RVP has done it week in, week out.

Not having a pop at Rooney, he's an important player, but he doesn't deserve an award for individual excellence.

Rooney doesn't win games the way Ronaldo could or the way RVP does. It's not his fault, he's given a role in the team and does it well.

But he's had better seasons and he can be much better. He hasn't been an outstanding individual this season.
