The Return of JC

Default 4-5-1

I think it needs to be done on Monday.

We can't afford to get overrun. Something's got to give up front and there's no ideal player to come in to midfield, but the thought of just Scholes and Carrick in there scares me a little. Something akin to the Blackburn set up. Question marks over the back four, but there's very few alternatives.

Apologies for the earlyness of posting a team, but.....

De Gea

Rafael
Evans
Rio
Evra

Nani
Scholes
Carrick
Jones
Welbeck

Rooney

Care to offer an alternative, Rouge? Welbeck's played left plenty of times before and I think he's coming in to some good form and wouldn't want to drop him for someone as limited as Young. Like I said, it's not ideal, but a think any combo of 4-4-2 will see us overrun.

No he hasn't.

Not the first time I've said that.

Is this you refusing to acknowledge Jones as a midfielder then? It's very clever, btw.

Now I realise you've actually chosen Jones to start a game of premiership football I know you've lost it

Fair enough

As I've said elsewhere, Jones is getting FAR too much stick. Sadly, there's few alternative in there. Maybe Giggs, but we could do with someone with 'legs' in there. Cleverley is a more obvious candidate, but you never know when he's going to be fit and I can't see Ferie throwing him in to such a huge game.

Basically, we've very few options, but I think we'll get destroyed if we play 4-4-2.

Reasons:

We need five in midfield
Cleverley not fit
Giggs can't run
Don't want to drop welbeck

The only option. Assuming Cleverley still plays football for a living?
