Default Running 4 miles

Only burns, on average, 480 (ish) calories. That's the equivalent of 2.5 pints of lager or a couple of kit kat chunkies.... That's f***ing shite that is.

As Ether says all depends on speed.

If you want to make it harder do interval training.

running 4 miles aint gonna happen - f***ing hate anything over 300 metres, a mile is a long run.

I actually ran this morning for the first time in yonks - will continue to do the same run (maybe) and just try and do it faster and faster.

If the Arse thread grinds to a standstill, I have pegged it.

When I first started running a mile was hard enough but I don't consider anything less than 2 miles a warm up when I'm at the gym

Can't run for long periods myself, find it mind crushingly tedious after a while. I break my b***** with quick bursts, can't do slow jogs and I can't understand how people go for hour long solid jogs. Fair f***s to them but I can't do that.

I'd prefer 5 a side football over jogging every time. Does more for you too imo.

I don't think you should be doing all this running mate, just not worth the risk

I am about to sign up to the London Marathon I think... got to raise 2.5k though - so I may have my begging bowl out on here

you can but it's hard to get in and I've missed the boat for 2009 already. you can get mates to apply for you but then you end up running as someone else. I could do the Berlin Marathon for 1 bag but you have to sort all your flights etc yourself.

even when i was fit, I hated longer runs in training, I could do sprints all day (back then) but send me off for a 5 mile run and i f***ing hated it.

I try to run rather than jog, joggers typically want shooting.
