Sevilla's official English Twitter chose to have a bit of fun with that statistic and it quickly went viral.
City were allocated 2300 seats at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium according to the club's website, but only filled 774 of those.

"Today's attendance is 38,764, including 774 Man City fans."
Despite being of the most successful clubs in England over the last decade, City are regularly mocked for their perceived lack of fans worldwide.

Many call the Etihad Stadium the 'Emptyhad' and believe they shouldn't be considered one of Europe's elite clubs.

Social media has had its say and they've joined in the mocking of City.

One person commented: "Proof in the pudding why win, lose or draw City will never be anywhere near as big as United."
