I agree that they will get their lawyers to tie up the governing bodies so that they are never really punished.

In my view there will only be change if opposing fans chant about them being cheats every time they play and that will get heard right around the world.

No player will want to play for a team being called cheats, and the Arabs won’t want to be associated with cheats as the whole point of their investment is to sports wash their dodgy reputation.

But for that to happen opposing fans are gonna have to start calling city out instead of just shrugging their shoulders and saying “what’s the point?”

In all likelihood it will be us or the scousers who will start this.

When we beat them at our place just before the lockdown there were plenty of chants of cheats and there was a song about them cheating. But unfortunately the lockdown meant this didn’t take off.

The biggest and most popular sporting league in the entire world, with numerous broadcasters and media outlets all making money off the back of it, can't be seen to have serial cheats as it's reigning champions.

They'll keep hush until it becomes untenable, like they did with Roman Abramovich. He was allowed to just get on with ploughing money into chelsea until the war in Ukraine and state sanctions forced the media's hand.

Nobody working for a major newspaper or news network in this country is going to go balls out and start splashing all City's dodgy dealings all over the newspapers because a)they're probably terrified of City's owners bringing the legal hammer down on them and b) they're all doing very nicely out of the premier league's brand image.
