We've got probably 2 more years of RVP in his prime, at least one of them is going to be wasted chasing long balls.
And here is one of them.

i don't think it was, that's just revisionist thinking, imo. we would have done just as well if we had not have won it.

2nd or 3rd. First k/o stage of Europe. Semis of f.a cup.

I don't expect Moyes to achieve greatness straight away.

Dunno - it was the first time Rooney and a few others had won anything.

And ensured that Friggle never went two trophyless seasons in a row once he had broken his United duck in 1990

i'm kinda excited at the thought of the coming season, i'd settle right now for us to address the glaring weakness in our squad and for us to play some good football next season.

If we get Thiago we'll start playing the most exciting and attractive football we've played in 4-5 years. We'll challenge for the title and in Europe, too.

The thought of him linking with Kagawa is literally arousing.

A springboard inasmuch as it occurred before those other things occurred. Not sure there is correlation.

As I said, there might be a small one. I certainly felt more optimistic than I had done for a few years at the end of that campaign.
