Evans is the one who's £#%&!ed imo. McNair and/or Blackett to go on loan. The more the merrier. Barca and the divs have been sniffing around him haven't they?

City were linked but not sure they've space for another defender.

Evans is a cert to go in summer. Be surprised if he plays in the first team again.

I'd keep McNair as 5th choice, if he's bringing in 2 defenders that'd mean we have 6 for the first team squad and that's far too many (Jones, Smalling, Rojo, McNair, Signing 1 & Signing 2).

Woodward also take the opportunity to watch Bilbao’s French central defender Aymeric Laporte.

United do not have a central defender high on their list of priorities despite the fact that early summer target Sergio Ramos committed himself to a new deal at Real Madrid today. However Laporte is highly rated and United continue to have an interest in the 20-year-old, despite a buy-out clause of £36.5m that was inserted in to a new contract in June.

This lad gets a brief mention at the end of Ladyman's article about Woodward's heroic battle to sign Pedro. Played well last night tbf.
